How HOPE supports ELL:

Our school provides comprehensive support for English Language Learners (ELLs) and their families by helping students develop English language skills while valuing and celebrating their home languages, cultures, and multilingual identities. EL teachers work closely with students and classroom teachers to support language acquisition and academic success, while families receive information and resources to better understand EL services, language development, and student progress. We prioritize clear and accessible communication with families by providing school notices in multiple languages and using Talking Points to communicate with families in their preferred languages. Through monthly family nights, ELL Family Night, and cultural celebrations such as HOPE New Year and Hmong Day, and other school events, we create opportunities for families to connect, learn, and celebrate the diverse cultures and languages that make up our school community. Translators and multilingual resources help ensure that all families can fully participate and feel welcomed and valued.
