PBIS and restorative practices: Our school implements Schoolwide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and restorative practices to establish clear expectations, consistent responses, and supportive learning environments for all scholars. PBIS provides a framework for explicitly teaching and reinforcing positive behaviors, using schoolwide data to guide supports and decision-making. Restorative practices provide structured opportunities for scholars and staff to build relationships, address harm, take responsibility, and repair relationships when conflict occurs. Together, these approaches support a safe, inclusive, and respectful school environment while providing consistent systems for responding to behavioral needs.
